This program weaves art, music and poetry together into a tightly knit cultural arras. Images of Edvard Munch, William Turner and Arnold Böcklin interlace with Baudelaire’s poetry, Szymanowski’s settings of Tuwim’s “folk-style” poetry is paired with illustrations of nature, while Chan Ka Nin’s Soulmate is coupled with contemporary art. The strength and beauty of Poland and Canada are tightly entwined into a rich cultural tapestry, forming a bond between these performing artists and interprets their expression through their mutual language of music.
